My work centers on an idea and my business name: Miss Dancey Pants. It started as a silly college nickname, but has now grown into a true identity for my work.  The jewelry utilizes bright fun colors, patterns, and original jewelry design to create unique pieces.

 

But breaking down the name really explains the entire concept. “Miss” represents the elegance and the fact that each piece has an elegance about it, whether it be the blending of colors, the cut of the pendant, or the way the beads fall. “Dancey” represents the fun loving nature and quirks in the pieces: many are asymmetrical and include contrasting colors. “Pants” brings a sense of practicality to the piece. I strive for each piece to be easily wearable for a variety of fashion senses and occasions. This idea brings jewelry out of the area of strictly dress-up and into an everyday setting: at the office, just for fun, going to the store.

 

I support breast caner and ovarian cancer research as well as saving the honey bees! Look for pieces for each of these causes! (profits from them get sent to the coresponding charity!)
