I discovered beadweaving when a violin student of mine (my day job) brought me a beaded bug she had made from the Klutz book titled "Beadlings." I stopped her lesson on the spot and asked her how she made it. Her mom then bought me the book and I proceeded to make all the bugs, mermaids and lizards and gave them to all my friends and family. I started reading beading magazines, books and online tutorials and taught myself how to do beadweaving. I love being self-taught because when I make a design error, it takes me in a different direction and I end up liking the result better than what I originally planned.
